After a long day at work, it can be easy to stay in, relax and rest before work the next day. However, our Snow Peak headquarters in Portland, Oregon is located only an hour from the mountains and coast each looming like shadows over the city, begging to be explored at any given moment. With an unseasonably warm April Monday, we simply couldn’t resist taking an overnight trip to the Oregon Coast to test the newest ultralight member of our tent fleet, the Lago Pro.air 1.
An adventure isn’t complete without a few missteps and the maze of coastal brush proved to be no exception leading us astray through dead end trails and overgrowth that seemed to test our spirit on our ocean pursuit. However, as the familiar sounds of crashing waves ahead became louder with every step, the end destination became clear as we crested the final sand dune marking the end of our sunset chase.

We found the tent to be surprisingly spacious, super-secure and supremely functional on our beach getaway. Using the compact Ozen Table as the foundation for our sunrise morning coffee, we were able to start the day off right before packing up and heading back to the Portland office for a day of work. Our adventure lingered in our thoughts the rest of the day recalling the beautiful scenery we experienced just hours before.
