The Snow Peak Ethos
Snow Peak’s 65-year history began in the metalworking town of Tsubame-Sanjo, in Japan’s Niigata Prefecture. Though we’re no longer the mountaineering brand of our origins, our commitment to highly durable gear has remained. We offer a lifetime guarantee and commitment to repairs, ensuring your well-loved Takibi Fire & Grills, Amenity Dome tents and Ti-Double Mugs will stand the test of time. We refer to the heirloom-quality of our products because we’re confident that their timeless durability allows them to pass on to the next generation of campers.
The secret to the elevated feel of a Snow Peak campsite is an approach centered on modular design and versatility. We create cohesive gear systems, allowing campers to build out a functional campsite over time. Furniture comes in four height options, enabling thoughtful groupings based on style and preference. Multi-functional product lines like the Iron Grill Table system offer advanced customization for a personalized setup. All-in-all, Snow Peak gear offers expansive possibilities for an elevated campsite that mimics the comforts of home – with spaces to cook, dine, gather and sleep.
We believe the campsite itself the destination, a place that inspires leisure, relaxation and a slower pace. For Snow Peak, camping offers a chance to reconnect with nature and disconnect from our always-on lives – and there’s no reason we can’t be comfortable while doing so.
Campfield Experience
Inspired by the 14 Snow Peak-owned campgrounds that came before, the Long Beach Campfield brings the fullest expression of the brand to life. The architectural design compliments the surrounding natural landscape, with nods to Snow Peak’s Japanese heritage infused throughout.
The 25-acre property offers three accommodation types, providing options for campers both new and experiences. Field Sites offer a blank slate for Snow Peakers to create their own campsite from scratch. Tent Suites provide a pre-set Snow Peak style site, with a tent, IGT kitchen, furniture and all necessary cookware and accessories. Finally, the luxurious Jyubako Suites offer a tiny cabin experience, with a kitchenette, queen sized bed and private bathroom.
The well-stocked Campstore and Cafe, paired with the private hot showers at the Wash House – all provide a campground experience that’s distinct from the norm. Last but not least, the Ofuro Spa offers the pinnacle of comfort and relaxation with a heated soaking pool overlooking a grove of trees and pond, plus an invigorating cold plunge and fragrant hinoki cypress sauna. Inspired by traditional Japanese onsens, the Ofuro Spa sets the Campfield apart with its tranquil environment.
We’re honored to be included on TIME Magazine’s World’s 100 Greatest Places list. We look forward to welcoming more campers to the Snow Peak camping experience, whether at the Campfield or through their own exploration of our product line.
