Snow Peak Way West 2 Recap
Our final Snow Peak Way of 2024 began in quintessential Pacific Northweststyle: with several hours of heavy rain. Luckily, sunshine prevailed and campers who arrived later in the afternoon enjoyed a cloudless blue sky as they set up their sites. Long Beach Campfield was filled with expansive and creative scenes – multi-tarp pairings, tent/shelter combinations and intricate IGT kitchens with Table Top Architect add-ons. The ingenuity of our community was on full display!
After the Opening Ceremony on Friday evening, the Campfield was aglow with campfires and creative lighting setups, offering a cozy and inviting feel. Attendees mingled between campsites and enjoyed evening dips at the Ofuro Spa.
Saturday morning, with the sun peeking through the mist, campers enjoyed hot coffee and planned their days. Soon the Shibori Station was in full swing and workshops began. Throughout the day, campers cooked with Matta, roasted coffee with Deadstock Coffee, enjoyed a tea mediation with Bardo and hunted for birds with Swarovski Optik. The event also featured a display special collection of Snow Peak archival gear and apparel, hosted by Ambassador Nate Matos. Saturday evening brought more Takibi Time, with beers and hot cider available at the Bar.
On Sunday, we concluded Snow Peak Way with the traditional Paper Airplane contest, sending a few lucky winners home with exciting prizes. The weekend was the perfect blend of community, creativity and time outside. We were honored to host our second Snow Peak Way at the Long Beach Campfield! We’d like to offer a special thank you to our partners: Swaroski Optik, Bardo Tea, Deadstock Coffee and Matta, as well as all attendees. We’re already looking ahead to 2025 and our next chance to come together. We’ll see you then!
