On a quaint Soho street situated just a few steps from the hustle and commotion of Broadway resides Snow Peak New York, the east coast brick-and-mortar outpost of Snow Peak USA. Originally opened in 2015, our second flagship caters to a slightly different apparel and urban design focus, but with the same mission in mind: to help our customers find a bit of peace in nature and restore a little bit of humanity.
Boasting a deep affinity for their community, the outdoor world, and a bit of the contemporary fashion scene to boot, our Soho-based Snow Peak'ers deliver an unequaled combination of insider experience, technical insights and charm.
On a typical workaday, you can find them dishing out delightful slices of gear knowledge and if you're lucky enough to show up around lunchtime, a bit of authentic yaki-imo too. In our latest installment, get to know a little bit of the flavor which encompasses our New York crew.

How do you prefer to start your day? With good coffee and a great breakfast. Quick breakfast at the moment consists of avocado toast with everything bagel seasoning and an over-easy egg on top!
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Snow Peak? I love how excited and supportive the Snow Peak USA team is of everyone’s journey with this company. We all share the excitement of being outdoors and living adventurously and it translates into everyone’s passion to work hard in growing the brand and business in the US.
What’s your guilty pleasure? Pistachio gelato and singing Whitney Houston songs in the car with my sister.
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend? Being a surfer and climber in NYC means I am generally planning my time around these two activities. If there is a decent swell on the east coast I will most likely try to get out and surf. Otherwise, I’m trying to get out of the city and go rock climbing upstate or climbing at the local gym.
If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? French Fries
What’s one song you have completely memorized? Fantasy by Mariah Carey
What’s your favorite place to eat around here? In NYC, my favorite place to eat is Thai Son in Chinatown. It’s my favorite place to go for Vietnamese food and I have been going there for over 15 years! The food is generous and the service is always fast.
What’s your go-to karaoke song? I haven’t sang karaoke in a long time because I’m a terrible singer. But if I did it would probably be a Spice Girls song. They are so easy to sing along to!
What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten? Natto
What is your favorite Snow Peak Gear item and why? There are so many but the Titanium Double 450 Mug would have to be my favorite. It is so well designed, lightweight and I use it every day. With the 450 Insulation Lid, it allows me to take my favorite mug with me on the go!
What is your favorite Snow Peak Apparel style and why? The Flexible Insulated collection. It’s warm, functional and oh-so-versatile. It’s an easy piece to wear over anything and can make a basic outfit look a little more stylish. It’s also water repellant which is a nice technical feature of this collection!
What was your first memory of Snow Peak? I saw the Iron Grill Table system set up in REI one day as I was browsing for Christmas gifts. I remember standing over the display for over half an hour just admiring the details and engineering of the system. The Double BBQ Box was so unique because it rested perfectly in the IGT frame alongside a bamboo cutting board. I could picture myself grilling skewers over this bbq box and serving it up for my friends at a campsite after a long day of climbing. It was a transformative moment for me to connect with a product like that and inspired so many ideas to get outside and try to create those experiences.

What’s one thing that surprised you about working at Snow Peak? The family-like relationship of all the employees is really special.
What’s your guilty pleasure? Binge eating cinnamon candies :)
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend? Trying new restaurants with my partner. Endlessly brewing coffee. Fly fishing if I can get away for a couple hours in the morning.
If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Omurice with pork sausage
What’s one item you can’t leave your house or apartment without? Snow Peak Wabuki chopsticks, Titanium 350 Kanpai Bottle with fresh coffee, and my lucky Navajo bracelet.
What’s one totally irrational fear that you have? Black holes
What’s the top destination on your must-visit list? Tibet
What’s your favorite place to eat around here? Village Yokocho in the East Village. It’s my favorite izakaya in New York with great people working there.

What is your favorite Snow Peak Gear item and why? Takibi Fire & Grill. It brings people together and brings happiness to everyone around it :)
What is your favorite Snow Peak Apparel style and why? Takibi Pants. They last so long and always made with great fabrics. I wear them everyday and can’t wait to see the new styles each season.
What was your first memory of Snow Peak? My dads GigaPower Stove and Ti-Double 450 Mug. Some of my earliest memories of being outdoors or camping have those in them.
