Our community of outdoor enthusiasts is an endless source of inspiration and knowledge. This year, we've been fortunate to partner with Snow Peakers from across the country and have also enjoyed seeing our community embrace restorative moments in nature.
Snow Peakers have generously shared their expertise with us – offering travel guides, creative camp setups, tasty recipes, and inspiration for creating more inclusive outdoor spaces. So, for the second installment in our Best of 2021 series, we've rounded up their stories into one place for easy reading.
Get to Know: Camp Yoshi
We're proud to work with Rashad Frazier and Camp Yoshi. The outdoor adventure collective creates space for Black people to unplug and reconnect to the wilderness through carefully planned excursions with gourmet menus, customized routes, and high-quality gear. Co-Founder Rashad Frazier shared his reflections on Camp Yoshi's inaugural trip to the Alvord Desert.
Lake Superior with the Boehnlein Family
As part of our Endless Horizon Series, longtime Snow Peaker Mike Boehnlein took us along on his family's annual trip to Lake Superior. Their kid-friendly excursion offers a combination of relaxation and play.
A Chat with City Kids
City Kids Wilderness Project was the official nonprofit partner of the 2021 At Home Campout. The organization builds resiliency and life skills through long-term mentorship programs centered on outdoor recreation. Learn more about their impactful work from their Executive Director, Sarah Cryder.
Coastal Carolinas with Erin McGrady and Caroline Whatley
Our friends Erin and Caroline took us to a new part of the United States for their portion of the Endless Horizon series! The couple spent a few rejuvenating days camping and exploring South Carolina's Edisto Island and offered a comprehensive guide for those planning to visit the area.
PNW Travel Reflections by Tyler Way and Kendra Olguín
It's fair to say that Tyler and Kendra are full-time campers. They've traveled the country in their airstream and spent much of their early summer touring the Pacific Northwest region. They shared about their adventures in the varied natural landscapes of Oregon and Washington for the Endless Horizon series.
Endless Horizon Photo Contest
Additionally, Snow Peakers wowed us with their entries for our Endless Horizon Photo Contest this summer. Take a look at the winning photographs and honorable mentions. They're sure to inspire you to get outside!
Lastly, our community regularly shares their Snow Peak experiences with us on Instagram. We love seeing your restorative moments in nature. We gathered a few of our favorites, and we look forward to seeing your adventures in 2022.
